NCB Studio School and Players Football Academy (PFA) have teamed up to offer males and females, aged 16-19, the opportunity to train like a professional footballer whilst continuing their education.
You will be coached by Adam Barrett (UEFA B Licence), Captain of League One side Gillingham and former Southend United Captain and study a BTEC Sport qualification.
You will train like you would at a professional club and compete in the Essex Colleges League. You will also play regular fixtures against professional youth teams, giving you the chance to show off your skills to the likes of Chelsea, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leyton Orient.
Daily training includes:
- Ball work
- Technical skills
- Tactical play
- Post match video analysis
- Strength & conditioning training personalised to you.
As part of the programme you will need to meet the entry requirements of one of the following:
• BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport
• BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.
In order to be successful in the Football Academy it is essential that you are fully committed to your academic studies.
What could I do next?
Once you have completed your BTEC qualification in Sport you will be able to progress to university or gain employment in the Sports Sector - we also have links with scholarships in the USA.
